Pandemic Legacy S01E03

In early June, the military contact our agency. The situation in the Middle East has started to get out of hand, and many people in high positions are getting anxious. 

At the beginning, we wanted to take charge of the operations, but the big wigs in the military stone walled us and took over the Middle East situation. Sad to say, they did not handle it well. We needed to jump in and assist, which eventually lead to neglect of the other sectors. 

This lead to our efforts in East Asia to be overwhelmed. Tokyo was nearly swamped by the lack of support and started rioting massively. A military hospital in the region got overran and now the military has given jurisdiction to our agency. 

All these at a cost of many innocents... As much as it pains me to see the fruits of our combined folly, we need to get the job done. There was quite a bit of tension during the discussions when Musk was making calls to the military contact. Looks like there might be more than meets the eye here.
